Danielle Thompson is a seasoned executive public administrator with more than 20 years of experience in business development, inclusive procurement, and public sector leadership. She is widely recognized for her strategic vision, operational excellence, and steadfast commitment to advancing equity in business practices across government, aviation, and retail industries.

Throughout her career, Danielle has championed minority-, women-, small-, and locally owned businesses, working to implement sustainable policies that increase access, strengthen local economies, and ensure a level playing field for small and local businesses.

As the former Director of Procurement for the City of Dallas, Danielle led one of the city’s most critically important departments, overhauled outdates policies to streamline business engagement, and played a pivotal role in advancing the historic redevelopment of the Kay Bailey Hutchinson Convention Center — a multi-billion-dollar infrastructure initiative. Her leadership efforts directly contributed to a more transparent, efficient, and business-friendly procurement process.

Danielle now serves in senior leadership at the North Texas Tollway Authority, where she oversees procurement and contract compliance for one of the region’s most vital transportation infrastructure organizations.
